Accessorial charge

An extra charge or service line connected to conditions beyond the base move, such as stairs, long carry, waiting time, storage, or special handling.

A written estimate type that may set a fixed price under stated conditions. Exact meaning and rules can vary, so read the document itself.

A simple list or label system showing what boxes exist, where they go, and which ones are fragile, storage-bound, or open-first.

A planning amount set aside for costs that are possible but not confirmed.

A period when delivery may occur, especially in longer moves or container/storage moves.

A box or bag containing first-night and next-morning items such as medication, chargers, towels, soap, tools, food, documents, and basic clothing.

The list of belongings, boxes, furniture, large items, and special items included in a move or storage plan.

A situation where belongings must be carried farther than a provider’s normal distance from door to truck or container.

A clearly labeled box that should be reachable immediately after move-in.

Temporary storage during a move, often used when pickup and delivery dates do not line up.
